Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1912 in Fort Worth, Texas, is an
American symphony orchestra based at the Bass Performance Hall. After disbanding
during World War I, the orchestra was re-established in 1925 by Brooks Morris.
The ensemble expanded under John Giordano, who served as music director from
1972 to 2000 and formed the Fort Worth Chamber Orchestra. In 1998, the orchestra
moved to its current home at the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall.
