Floyd Miles was born on April 13, 1943, in Daytona Beach, Florida. He began his
musical career with The Universals, a soul band popular in the early 1960s.
Floyd Miles befriended Gregg and Duane Allman during this time. After playing
with several local groups, he founded his own band, backing musicians such as
Arthur Conley and Percy Sledge. His debut solo album Crazy Man was released in
1992, featuring musical assistance from Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts. Years
later, he released Goin' Back to Daytona. Floyd Miles gained national prominence
touring with Gregg Allman & Friends. ...
