Jhay Cortez is a Puerto Rican vocalist whose music combines Latin pop,
reggaeton, and R&B. He was born on April 9, 1993, in Rio Pedras, Puerto Rico,
and moved to New Jersey as a child. A songwriter since the age of 15, he
launched his career by penning hits for acts like Zion & Lennox and Tito El
Bambino, the latter of whom earned a Latin Grammy for an album, Invencible, that
featured the Cortez composition "Llama al Sol." He released "Donde No De Vea,"
