V8, an Argentine heavy metal band, was formed in 1979 by Ricardo Iorio and
Ricardo Moreno. Their first live performance took place in July 1980 at the club
Sahores in Villa del Parque, Buenos Aires. In 1982, Alberto Zamarbide joined as
vocalist, forming the classic lineup with Osvaldo Civile on guitar and Gustavo
Rowek on drums. Their debut album, Luchando por el Metal, was released in March
1983, followed by Un Paso Más en la Batalla in 1984 and El Fin de los Inicuos in
1986. V8 disbanded in 1987 due to religious differences among its members.
