First Light
First Light, an English funk musical group, was formed in 1982 by Paul
Hardcastle and Derek Green. The duo had previously collaborated as members of
Direct Drive, a disco-funk band. Their first single, "A Horse with No Name / Do
Not Be Mistaken", was released in May 1982 but did not chart. However, their
subsequent release, "Explain the Reasons (18 Minutes of First Light)", achieved
modest success by entering the UK charts at position 65 in May 1983. This single
