Finger Eleven, formerly known as Rainbow Butt Monkeys, are an alternative rock
band formed in Ontario, Canada in the early 1990s. Forming in high school, the
band recorded their debut album Letters from Chutney, funded by winning a local
radio talent contest. After signing to Coalition Entertainment in 1996, the band
changed their name to Finger Eleven and released their debut record Tip in 1997.
