Felton C. Pilate II is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer.
Pilate is a member of the funk and R&B band Con Funk Shun, which moved to
Memphis, Tennessee, to sign a record deal. The group recorded a string of hit
records during the 1970s and 1980s. Pilate served as co-record producer and
songwriter for the band's releases. Between 1986 and 1995, Pilate collaborated
with the rapper MC Hammer on albums that sold over 30 million copies. These
productions include Feel My Power (1986), Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em (1990),
