Farin Urlaub was born on October 27, 1963 in West Berlin. He is a rock musician, singer and guitarist who is considered a formative figure in the German-language punk and pop rock scene. Jan Vetter began his first band projects in 1980; in 1982, together with Dirk Felsenheimer and Hans Runge, he founded the band Die Ärzte in West Berlin, which later became one of the most influential German groups.
