Fareed Haque, born in 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, is an American guitarist known for his work in jazz and jazz rock. Raised by a Pakistani father and Chilean mother, Haque traveled extensively as a child, exposing him to diverse musical influences. He received a guitar scholarship from the University of North Texas but left after a year to study classical guitar at Northwestern University.
