Fadel Abr ar-Rahman Shamander, known professionally as Fadel Shaker, was born on
April 1, 1969, in Lebanon. Raised in the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp near Sidon,
Shaker began his career in 1997 with Al Khouyoul Records. His debut album Wallah
Zaman (1998) featured hits like "Meta Habeby Meta" and "Ya Tkon Habeby".
Subsequent albums included Baya'a El Qolob (1999), which topped the charts with
its title track, and El Hob El Adem (2000). In 2002, Shaker released his first
