Fábio Jr. was born Fábio Corrêa Ayrosa Galvão on November 21, 1953, in São
Paulo, Brazil. He began appearing on radio, television, and film as a child,
then recorded in English during the 1970s under aliases including Uncle Jack and
Mark Davis, scoring an early hit with “Don’t Let Me Cry.” After returning to
Portuguese-language music, he released a run of self-titled albums from 1976
onward and also became a familiar actor in Brazilian television, with credits
