Éva Keleti, born on May 11, 1922, in Hungary, was a singer known professionally
as Eve Boswell. Born to musician parents, she studied piano and joined her
family's touring act. During World War II, they moved to South Africa with the
Boswell Circus. In 1949, bandleader Geraldo brought her to Britain for his BBC
Radio band. Her first hit was "Sugar Bush" in 1952. She launched a solo career
and achieved major chart success with "Pickin' A-Chicken" in early 1956,
