Eva Pilarová, born 9 August 1939 in Brno, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia,
was a Czech singer and actress. She began performing as a child in the St.
Thomas church choir, later studying opera at the Janáček Academy in Brno while
appearing at the Večerní Theatre. In 1960, she joined Prague’s Semafor Theatre,
quickly gaining recognition, and sang the duet "Je pešešné dotykat se hředz"
with Karel Gott. Notable albums include Eva (1969), P.F. 1972 (1971), and One
Perfect Song (1994). She received the Czech Medal of Merit in 2009 and was a
