Etienne Benjamin Steyn, born on November 24, 1978, in Germiston, Gauteng, South
Africa, is a singer-songwriter who mostly sing in Afrikaans. His musical journey
began in grade 8 when his father gifted him an old guitar, leading to the
formation of his first band, Denizen, in 1995. Steyn's early career included
participating in Battle of the Bands and performing at Woodstock in Oudtshoorn.
In 2000, he co-founded the rock group Goose Gap, which gained popularity with
