Anton Eshon Hairston, known professionally as Eshon Burgundy (born
April 21, 1980, in Abington, Pennsylvania), was raised by his mother Rochelle in
Philadelphia, moving frequently due to her abusive relationship. His
professional music career began in 2007, when he was featured along with poet
Black Ice on DJ Jazzy Jeff’s album Return of the Magnificent with the song “Run
That Back.” He released his debut album, Blood Rushing to My Head, through
