ERRA, sometimes stylized Erra, formed in 2009 in Birmingham, Alabama, began as
a high‑school collective of Alex Ballew, Jesse Cash, Adam Hicks, Garrison Lee,
and Alan Rigdon, with Ballew on drums and Cash on guitar and clean vocals. The
band self‑released the Erra EP in 2009 and Andromeda in 2010, attracting Tragic
Hero Records and leading to the 2011 release of Impulse; the album reached the
