Ernst Mosch was born on November 7, 1925 in Zwodau, Czechoslovakia. He grew up
in Egerland and received musical training as a trombonist at an early age. After
the Second World War, he lived in Germany and initially played in various dance
and entertainment orchestras. In 1956, he founded the Original Egerländer
Musikanten in Germaringen, which quickly became one of the best-known brass
bands in Europe. The members include well-known musicians from the brass band
scene in changing line-ups, who together with Ernst Mosch shape the Egerländer
