Ernie Fields Jr., born on July 29, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was an American
baritone saxophonist and session musician. He completed his education at Booker
T. Washington High School in 1951 and studied at Howard University, playing with
his father's band during vacations. Fields Jr.'s breakthrough came with the
release of the single "I’ll Be Loving You / I Heard You Talking in Your Sleep"
in 1977, followed by another notable track "Ride a Wild Horse / As" in 1978.
