Ernest Bert Ashworth, born December 15, 1928, in Huntsville, Alabama, was an
American country music singer. He began his career on local radio station WBHP
before moving to Nashville in 1950 and signing as a songwriter for Acuff-Rose
Music. Ashworth's breakthrough came with the single "Each Moment (Spent With
You)" in 1957, which reached number 5. In 1962, he moved to Hickory Records and
achieved his biggest hit with "Talk Back Trembling Lips", which peaked at Number
1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for 42 weeks. This success led to his
