Erna Tauro, born Erna Pergament on August 16, 1916, in Viborg, Finland, was a
Finnish-Swedish pianist and composer. She began her musical studies in Berlin
before moving to Helsinki with her family. During World War II, Tauro worked as
a nurse and a musical accompanist. From 1955 to 1969, she served as the
principal accompanist at the Little Theatre (Lilla Teatern) in Helsinki, where
she composed music for various plays and musicals. Tauro's breakthrough came in
