Erik Pédurand, born 8 November 1985 in Pointe‑à‑Pitre, Guadeloupe, is a French
singer and songwriter whose style blends soul, gwo ka, jazz, and reggae. He
began singing at 15 and opened for Saïan Supa Crew in 2001; in 2003 he entered
the StarDom talent contest. After moving to Paris for language studies, he met
Siam Lee and Manuel Mondésir, who signed him to Awimusic. His debut album
Chayé Kow (2008) was well received, earning him the title “Coup de pouce” at the
Festival Villes des Musiques du Monde (2008) and the Fnac Forum Mondomix
