Eric Vaarzon Morel
Eric Vaarzon Morel, born in 1961 in Amsterdam, is a Dutch flamenco guitarist. At
16. he received lessons from flamenco guitarist Paco Peña at the 7th Rencontre
de la guitare in France. In 1980, Vaarzon Morel studied for two years in Spain
before touring Europe with the Swiss group Flamencos en route. He was a member
of Cuadro Flamenco and released his debut album Flamenco de Hoy in 1994. In
1999, Vaarzon Morel composed music for the theater piece De Ongelukkige. He
collaborated with various artists including Tahir Aydogdu, Eric Vloeimans, and
