The English Chamber Choir is a choir based in England. It was founded in 1972, with Haydn’s Nelson Mass and Fauré’s Requiem with Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra. Early engagements included a live performance of the rock opera Tommy with the London Symphony Orchestra, marking the choir’s entry into productions. In 2012, they re‑recorded Rick Wakeman’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth at Abbey Road Studios. They collaborated with Belmont Ensemble and artists Rick Wakeman and John Tavener.
