Engineers is a British shoegaze and dream‑pop group formed in London in 2003 by
bassist‑guitarist‑keyboardist Mark Peters, singer‑guitarist Simon Phipps,
bassist‑guitarist Dan MacBean, and drummer Andrew Sweeney. The band’s first
release was the single "Home" in April 2004, followed by the mini‑album Folly in
September 2004, which featured a cover of Tim Hardin’s "If I Were a Carpenter"
and the original track "Forgiveness". Their self‑titled debut album Engineers
