Emmanuel Horvilleur is an Argentine singer, songwriter, and
multi-instrumentalist, born Emmanuel Javier Horvilleur on January 2, 1975, in
Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began making music as a teenager in Pechugo, a
childhood group connected to the Spinetta family circle, before forming Illya
Kuryaki and the Valderramas with Dante Spinetta in 1991. The duo became one of
Argentina’s most distinctive acts of the 1990s, mixing funk, rock, hip-hop,
soul, and Latin grooves across albums such as Chaco, Versus, Leche, and
