Emily Wurramara, an Indigenous Australian singer and songwriter, was born in
Groote Eylandt, Australia. She spent her early years moving between Groote
Eylandt and Bickerton Island before settling in Brisbane at age six. Wurramara's
musical journey began with songwriting and poetry as a child, influenced by
artists like Coloured Stone and Yothu Yindi. In 2016, she released her debut EP
