Emerald
Emerald, a Swiss metal band formed in 1995 through the merger of disbanded
groups Dark Crystal and Oppress. The band's initial goal was to pay homage to
the heavy metal style popularized by acts like Iron Maiden and Virgin Steele.
Emerald made their live debut in November 1997 at David's Musicworld, followed
by the release of their first album Rebels Of Our Time in 1999. The band gained
traction with positive reviews from magazines such as Rock Hard and Metal Heart.
In 2001, Emerald performed at the Swiss Metal Attack Festival, leading to the
