Embrace
UK alternative rock band Embrace formed in Bailiff Bridge in 1990, but released
their debut single in 1997. Bustling with Northern bravado and epic indie torch
songs, the McNamara brothers (Daniel and Richard) chugged along at the back end
of the Britpop era with a swagger more befitting the Gallagher siblings. Grand
declarations that their band Embrace had songs big enough to fill Wembley
stadium were met with fevered press hype, and a good public response sent their
