Elli Erl was born on April 25, 1979 in Straubing. She is a German singer and
songwriter who works in the pop and soul genre and is best known for her victory
on the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Elli Erl came to public
attention in 2003 when she took part in the second season of the show and
emerged as the winner in March 2004. The victory brought her a record deal and
national attention. In June 2004, Elli Erl releases her debut album Shout It
