Elji
Elji, whose real name is Nicolas Louis Joseph Dogue, is a singer from
Martinique, originally from the Fort-de-France neighborhood of Montgérald. He
made a name for himself thanks to his key role in the development of the
"Shatta" movement in the West Indies, based on reggae-dancehall. He drew
inspiration from Jamaican artists such as Sizzla and Capleton, while
incorporating influences such as rap, French variété and Afrobeat. Quickly
spotted thanks to the sound system scene, he made a name for himself with his
