Electric Youth, a Canadian synthpop duo from Toronto, Ontario, was formed in
2011 and consisted of Bronwyn Griffin (vocals, songwriter) and Austin Garrick
(producer, songwriter, synthesizer, drums). The duo met during high school.
Their breakthrough came with the release of "A Real Hero" featuring College,
which was included in the soundtrack for the film Drive. The song, co-written by
Garrick, was inspired by Chesley Sullenberger and the emergency landing of US
Airways Flight 1549. It received a nomination for an MTV Movie Award in 2012 for
