Electribe 101
English-based electronic music group Electribe 101, active from 1988 to 1992,
was formed in Birmingham by Joe Stevens, Les Fleming, Rob Cimarosti, and Brian
Nordhoff and fronted by Billie Ray Martin. Martin, born in Hamburg, had moved to
Berlin and then London seeking new collaborators and the group formed after
responding to his ad in Melody Maker. Their first single "Talking with Myself"
was released commercially by Phonogram in November 1988. The group signed with
