El Lobo y la Sociedad Privada is a Peruvian cumbia group founded in 1994 in
Tingo María, Huánuco, by singer and musical director José Luis Arroyo, who first
launched the project under the name Internacional Privados de Tingo María. The
act broke through in the 1990s with “No hay felicidad” and built a wider
national following through radio exposure, Lima appearances, and a repertoire
that later came to include songs such as “Si te vas, ¿qué haré?,” “Júrame,” “Tu
jurastes amarme,” “Pañuelo de lágrimas,” and “Llorarás Igual Que Yo.” In the
