El Inquilino Comunista, a Spanish indie rock band from Guecho, Vizcaya, was
formed in 1991. The group consisted of Álvaro Real and Santi Real on guitar and
vocals, Juan Losada on bass, and Javier Letamendia on drums. Their early work
was influenced by American alternative rock bands such as Pixies, Sonic Youth,
and Pavement. In 1992, they released their first EP, Extended Play, establishing
