El Consorcio
El Consorcio is a Spanish folk ensemble formed in 1993 in Bilbao. The group
consisted of Amaya, Estíbaliz, and Iñaki Uranga, Sergio Blanco, and Carlos
Zubiaga, who were former members of Mocedades. The band formed to perform
mid-20th-century radio hits. Its debut studio recording, Lo que nunca muere,
appeared in 1994, followed by Peticiones del oyente in 1995. These albums
focused on post-war radio programs and led to tours in Spain and Mexico. The
ensemble concluded a trilogy of radio-themed music with the 1996 album Programa
