Edmond Hall

Edmond Hall, born on May 15, 1901 in Reserve, Louisiana, was an American jazz clarinetist and bandleader. From a musical family, Hall started playing guitar before switching to the clarinet. He performed with various bands in New Orleans, including those led by Bud Rousell and Lee Collins. In 1928, he moved to New York City and joined Claude Hopkins' orchestra. Hall gained recognition through collaborations with Billie Holiday and Henry "Red" Allen.
