Eddie Calvert
Eddie Calvert was an English trumpeter born as Albert Edward Calvert on March
15, 1922, in Preston. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career
characterized by easy listening and for being introduced on television as the
“Man with the Golden Trumpet”. Calvert achieved professional recognition for a
career that began in his local brass band and joining the Preston Town Silver
