Edward John O'Brien is an English guitarist, songwriter, and producer best known
as a founding member of Radiohead. Born in Oxford (15 April 1968) and educated
at Abingdon School, he formed the band in the 1980s alongside Thom Yorke, Jonny
Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, and Phil Selway. His atmospheric guitar textures,
effects work, and vocal harmonies became an essential part of Radiohead’s sound
on albums such as OK Computer, Kid A, In Rainbows, and A Moon Shaped Pool. In
