Echoes of Swing, a German jazz quartet formed in 1998, consisted of Colin T.
Dawson on trumpet, Chris Hopkins on alto saxophone, clarinet, and band
leadership, Bernd Lhotzky on piano, and Oliver Mewes on drums. The band emerged
from a spontaneous jam session in 1997, and Hopkins founded the group, which
debuted at the international JazzAscona festival the following year. Initially
focusing on jazz styles of the 1920s and 1930s, they later expanded into bebop
