Earl-Jean
Earl-Jean Reavis, born Ethel McCrea in 1942, was an American pop and R&B singer
from North Carolina. Reavis was a member of the vocal group the Cookies. Their
recordings with the ensemble include the singles “Don't Say Nothin' Bad (About
My Baby)” (1962) and “Chains” (1962), the latter of which was covered by the
Beatles. The artist achieved solo recognition with the single “I'm Into
Something Good” (1964), which reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 and
number 42 on the Cash Box chart. The song later reached Number 1 in the United
