Durand Bernarr
Durand Bernarr, born on September 16, 1988, in Cleveland, Ohio, is an American
soul singer, songwriter, and producer. Raised by a music‑teacher mother and an
audio‑engineer father, he toured as a production assistant with
Earth, Wind & Fire at sixteen and later joined Erykah Badu’s band as a
background vocalist. His YouTube covers led to the mixtape alcoholharmony: The
MixT@pe (2009) and the EP 8ight: The Stepson of Erykah Badu (2010). Durand
Bernarr released his debut album DUR& in 2020, followed by the EP Wanderlust
