Dulce José da Silva Pontes is a Portuguese fado singer and songwriter. She
studied piano at the Lisbon Conservatory and trained in contemporary dance
before working as an actress, singer, and dancer in theatre and television
productions. In 1991, she won the RTP Song Festival and represented Portugal at
the Eurovision Song Contest with "Lusitana paixão," placing 8th, and also
