Dueto América was a Mexican musical duo formed in the late 1940s in
Aguascalientes. The ensemble consisted of siblings Carolina and David González.
The duo performed contemporary songs and traditional folk music, specifically
corridos and rancheros. Its repertoire featured compositions by Fernando Z.
Maldonado and Felipe Valdés Leal. The group's string accompaniment included the
harp, played by Jacinto Gatica. Dueto América recorded various albums for
Columbia Records and Harmony Records, with its discography flourishing during
