Dropping Daylight, an American rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, became
active in 2001 with original members Sebastian Davin, Rob Burke, and Jacob
"Jake" Englund. They initially performed under the name Associated Mess while in
junior high school. In 2004, Dropping Daylight was signed by Octone Records and
RCA Music, releasing their first EP The Glenwood Sessions (2004). Their debut
full-length album, Brace Yourself, was released in 2006, featuring the single
