Dr. Frank
Frank Portman, known professionally as Dr. Frank, was born on September 21,
1964, in San Francisco, California, and is an American guitarist, singer,
songwriter, and author. He formed the Mr. T Experience in 1985 with Jon Voz
Zelowitz, Byron Stamatatos, and Alex Laipeneiks, adopting the stage name Dr.
Frank. The band's debut album Everybody's Entitled to their Own Opinion was
released in 1986. Portman served as the primary songwriter and vocalist for the
Mr. T Experience, releasing several studio albums and EPs. In 1999, Dr. Frank
released his solo album Show Business is My Life....
