Dorthe Kollo was born in Copenhagen on July 17, 1947. Her real name is Dorthe
Larsen. The Danish singer is one of the best-known pop singers of the 1960s and
1970s in German-speaking countries. Her father worked as the conductor of the
Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and encouraged her musical education at an early age.
In addition to singing, Dorthe Kollo studied acting, dance and pantomime. She
recorded her first record at the age of eight. At the age of twelve, she
received a gold record in Denmark for "Åh, det er søndag", the Danish version of
