Donna Allen
Donna Allen, born May 15, 1958 in Key West, Florida, is an American dance-pop
singer who grew up in Tampa and once served as a cheerleader for the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers before performing with the bands Hi-Octane, Trama, and Maxx. Donna
Allen's solo breakthrough came with the 1986 album Perfect Timing produced by
Lou Pace, which introduced the single "Serious," reaching number 8 on the UK
Singles Chart and number 17 on the US dance sales chart. Her 1988 follow-up
album, Heaven on Earth, produced the singles "Joy and Pain," which peaked at
