Giuliano Illiani, known professionally as Donatello, is an Italian singer born
on September 11, 1947, in Tortone. He began his musical career as a member of
the group Wanted's between 1962 and 1966. In 1968, he performed as a guitarist
for Gianni Morandi. Illiani adopted the stage name Donatello in 1970 and
performed the song “Io mi fermo qui” at the Festival della Canzone Italiana di
Sanremo with the ensemble Dik Dik. That same year, the recording “Malattia
