Donald Lawrence
One of the most popular artists in contemporary gospel music, Donald Lawrence is
the director of The Tri-City Singers. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on May
4, 1961, he took up the vacant post of musical director of The Tri-City Singers
in 1990, turning it into a leading contemporary gospel group, celebrated in the
charts with several hits. After several group albums, he embarked on a solo
career in 2004 with I Speak Life, which proved a major success, winning no less
than six Stellar Awards in 2006, including Artist and Producer of the Year. The
