A self-taught composer and musician born in Lebanon in 1964, Dominique Dalcan
made a name for himself with the orchestrations and subtle melodies on his first
two albums, Entre l'Étoile et le Carré (1992) and Cannibale (1994). The latter,
supported by the tracks "Le Danseur de Java " and "Brian", was made with
arrangers and producers David Whitaker and Bertrand Burgalat. His next album,
Ostinato (1998), was inspired by Brazilian influences, and saw him collaborate
